Senate Press F.A.Q.
We now have RSS feeds for all of the press releases generated by the Senate Press Office. There is a link to subscribe to our feed at the bottom of the main press release page, as well as at the bottom of each press release.
RSS feeds are not supported in versions of Internet Explorer earlier than IE7. If you are a member or employee of the Georgia General Assembly, you may contact the helpdesk at 7-4580 and request an upgrade to IE7 to enable viewing the news feed in your browser.
There are free RSS readers available via the internet if you are unable to upgrade your browser. Search for RSS Reader to find an option that best suits your needs. Google Reader is an excellent free RSS reader that only requires that you create a google account in order to access the reader. It can be found at http://www.google.com/reader. Add http://senatepress.net/feed in the "new feed" selection to access our RSS feed.
If you use Outlook 2007 you can have our press releases instantly delivered to your inbox by subscribing to the feed in Outlook using the address http://senatepress.net/feed.
Our press releases are now searchable by any relevant name, i.e., by Senator, by subject, or by topic. The search box is located in the top right corner of our Press Releases page.
Beginning with the 2009 Session, all related audio will be available in three formats - streamed through your browser, as a downloaded MP3 file, or as part of a podcast subscription. Watch this page for more information as soon as this service is available.
